All Hogwarts Secrets Solutions - Hogwarts Legacy Guide - IGN (2024)

There are three Hogwarts Secrets that you can uncover to receive valuable loot, such as legendary gear, wand cosmetics, Field Guide Pages, and even Conjuration recipes. Now, there's a good chance you have already stumbled across these secrets; however, the process needed to complete these puzzles are often quite complex and involve multiple steps, special spells, side quest completions, and much more. These solutions apply to all versions of Hogwarts Legacy, including the original PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S versions of Hogwarts Legacy, as well as the Switch version from November, 2023.

How to Solve the Viaduct Bridge Puzzle

There are two different types of collection chests here,plus a Legendary Chest for a random piece of gear.

• Reward: Tap to Reveal

Two chests can be found under the large Viaduct Bridge connecting the Library Annex exterior to the Great Hall and Entrance Hall, but you’ll need the Incendio Spell to unlock this Hogwarts Secret.

On the large bridge, you should notice four large braziers (one of which is lit), and each has a large icon in front of it, as well as roman numeral that can be swapped by interacting with the brazier (if the brazier is lit).

On the northwest Library Annex side of the bridge, look along the ground for a puzzle solution. It depicts each of the four symbols found on the braziers, and a roman numeral next to it. This is your guide. You need to go to each brazier and interact with it until it has the right number, which will only become interactive after you ignite it with the Incendio spell:

Once all have been correctly numbered and ignited, the puzzle on the floor will open to reveal a ladder down below the bridge. Here you’ll find an assortment of chests, which include a Wand Cosmetic, Conjuration Recipe, and Legendary Chest.

How to Solve the Clock Tower Pendulum Secret Puzzle

• Spell Requirements: Alohom*ora and Glasius or Arresto Momentum
• Reward: Tap to Reveal

To solve the Clock Tower Pendulum Hogwarts secret, you'll need to have first completed the main story quest, The Caretaker's Lunar Lament, and the side quest, Madam Kogawa's Assignment 1, as these will unlock the necessary spells to complete the puzzle.

Once you've unlocked the spells, make your way to The South Wing and travel to the Clock Tower Courtyard Floo Flame.

Here, you'll find a large pendulum swaying side to side. Above the pendulum, you'll find four different symbols:

• Unicorn Symbol
• Owl Symbol
• Two Dragons Symbol
• Scarab Symbol

Each of these symbols will unlock a door that contains a unique reward - once you've opened all four doors, you'll complete the Hogwarts Secret.

Door #1 - Unicorn Symbol

Using either Glasius or Arresto Momentum, freeze the pendulum over the Unicorn symbol and you'll notice that the previously gated door in the southeast corner will now be open.

Head inside the newly opened room, and you'll find a chest containing a Conjuration Recipe.

Door #2 - Owl Symbol

After opening the Unicorn door, head across the courtyard and open the nearby locked door with Alohom*ora and proceed to climb up the stairwell until you reach the wooden rafters.

Here, you'll want to freeze the pendulum over the owl symbol and then head left, where you'll find the owl symbol door.

Before entering, be sure to use Disillusionment as you'll find an Eye Chest to open - this will contain 500g.

Door #3 - Two Dragon Symbol

To find the Two Dragon symbol door, make your way up to the next floor above. Here, you'll want to freeze the pendulum over the Two Dragon symbol.

Now, once frozen, head right and down the small set of stairs, where you'll find the Two Dragon symbol door is now open - inside you'll find a chest containing a Conjuration Recipe.

Door #4 - Scarab Symbol

Last but not least, it's time to open the final door. To do so, remain on the same floor as Door #3 and proceed to freeze the pendulum over the Scarab symbol.

Once frozen, use the nearby stairwell and travel approximately halfway up, where you'll encounter a brown doorway. Head through this door, and you'll find that the Scarab symbol door is now open.

When entering, you'll not only unlock the Hogwarts Secret Challenge, but also a Legendary Chest.

How to Solve The Key of Admittance Secret Puzzle

• Reward: Tap to Reveal

After the completion of the Niamh Fitzgeralds Trial main quest, you'll gain to the Headmaster's Office, which is located above the Trophy Room.

From the Headmaster's Office, look for the door that's beside the desk with a telescope next to it - on this desk, you'll find a chest that contains a Wand Handle.

Using the Alohom*ora spell, unlock the level 2 lock and continue up the set of stairs. At the top, you'll encounter another locked door, this time level 3.

When opening the door, it'll reveal a room with a key on the desk - pick this up.

When entering the room, you'll also unlock the Room with a View Trophy.

Using the newly collected Key of Admittance, return to the Headmaster's Office and make your way down the spiral staircase until you reach the hallway.

Follow the hallway to the end, where you'll come face-to-face with a large metal door with a keyhole in the middle.

When opening the door, you'll find a large wooden loot chest and a spiral staircase that will lead you to uncover two Collection Chests and a Field Guide Page.
