Zavier Mathis
School: Holy Name Catholic Middle School
Club: Indiana Red Storm -Byers
Zavier is a good post player who can play in the painted area. He scored a lot of easy baskets over the weekend with a good amount of offensive rebounds and excellent post moves. Displayed the ability of having great footwork, which he used often to score in various ways. A really good rebounding player who does it on both sides of the floor and doesn’t mind physical contact from opposing players. He is really good at setting screens and helping teammates get open for easy scoring opportunities. Zavier is the epitome of what it means to be a team player. Anything needing to be done, for his team to get the victory.. it will be done with 100 percent effort.

Amari Smith
School: Mount Vernon Middle School
Club: Mac Elite
Amari is a really good all around player who does everything on the basketball court. He’s a good wing player who’s play style is that of a guard/forward. Excellent at driving around defenders and attacking the basket. (occasionally scoring through contact) Showed great leadership skills by constantly communicating with teammates on defense. A good shooter from long range who knocked down multiple three’s in the win against the Fire over the weekend. Great defender who made scoring difficult for any player he guarded. Runs the floor well and scores in transition. He had no problem attacking the glass on both sides of the court, often grabbing boards over taller players. Amari plays the game of basketball with the heart and determination to win. I look forward to seeing his progression next season and in the near future when he attends high school.

AJ Green
School: Fishers Junior High
Club: Mac Elite
AJ is an excellent shooter who has the capability of making long or mid-range shots. He displayed the ability to create his own shots with side and step back jumpers. In one on one situations, he showed the ability of beating opposing defenders off the dribble and attacking the basket. He is a very skilled player on the offensive side of the ball. AJ is a good defender who can stay with opposing players, often stealing the ball and forcing turnovers. He had no issues fighting through screens and disrupting offensive players’ shots. I believe this young man has all the skills needed to succeed at the next level. With his talent, and continued growth… his future will be very promising.

Daniel Airhiagbonkpa
School: Southport Middle School
Club: Southside Strategy
Daniel has the ability to catch and shoot effectively. He showed the skills needed to score in various ways. Has the ability to create and take it strong to the basket, along with stepping out and nailing three pointers. I witnessed this young man show the heart of a champion over the weekend. He played most of the game injured and gave maximum effort by nailing multiple threes in a losing effort. Steady defender who stays with his man on the defensive end of the court. Daniel is a player that has a good all-around feel for the game. I truly believe he will have a successful freshman season next year.
Carter Stockton

Carter Stockton
School: Plainfield Middle School
Club: Southside Strategy
Carter is a really good post player who score with a variety of moves in the paint. Excellent at grabbing offensive rebounds which lead to easy put backs. Seamlessly worked efficiently on offense getting to his spots for open looks. Sets good screens that allowed teammates to be more effective on the offensive side of the floor. Good interior post defender who had no issues boxing out and grabbing defensive rebounds. Carter didn’t go for pump fakes and stayed on the ground against opposing players. A skilled big man who should flawlessly transition into high school basketball.
Ziarre Hicks

CLASS 2028
Ziarre Hicks
School: We Are Ridge Middle School
Club: Lafayette Panthers
A tough rugged guard/forward who plays with aggression on both ends of the court. He plays the game of basketball with physicality all over the floor. Loves attacking the basket and scoring in transition off opposing turnovers. Ziarre is a really good at rebounding for his size. He doesn’t mind getting inside the paint among bigger players and attacking the glass. A good passer who always seemed to find open teammates for easy baskets. If Ziarre can develop a consistent jump shot.. he will be a dangerous player at the high school level.
