AMFI data shows that the average AUM per folio of retail investors in mutual funds is Rs.76,000. This has increased by 16% from Rs.62,600 in June 2022.
Further, AMFI data shows that the average AUM per folio of HNI is Rs.9.33 lakh as on June 2023. Overall, the average AUM per folio across investor categories is Rs.2.98 lakh as on June 2023.

In terms of scheme categories, the average AUM per folio of equity funds is Rs.1.73 lakh as on June 2023. Such a size was Rs.15.72 lakh in debt funds.
The average AUM per folio of hybrid funds is Rs.4.31 lakh, solution oriented is Rs.63,000 and liquid is Rs.22.57 lakh, shows the data.
Among passive funds, the average AUM per folio of index funds is Rs.3.90 lakh compared to Rs.3.21 lakh in ETFs as on June 2023.
