Canada ranks as the second-best country in the world as per the U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Countries Rankings for 2023. Switzerland has retained its top spot this year as well. After Canada (No.2), the rankings are followed by Sweden (No. 3), Australia (No. 4) and the United States(No. 5). In 2022, Canada was ranked 3rd, and now it has improved its position to become world no.2.

Based on a global survey with more than 17,000 participants across 36 nations, counties were ranked. The attributes include dynamic safety, human rights, economic stability and social justice commitment. The survey this year contained 73 features in total and encompassed 87 countries.
